Jorge Hadad Rey

Originally from Santiago de Cuba, Cuba’s second-biggest city, Jorge now considers himself a Brooklynite. As the Partnerships Engagement Manager at The Marcy Lab School, Jorge is the hub for our external community — he works with volunteers, mentors, alumni, corporate partners, and Fellows to design incredible experiences and programs around career readiness. All in all, Jorge is a creator—he is naturally curious and is always asking the question, "How could we make this better?" He listens intently, learns quickly, and builds incredible programs, resources, and systems to help those around him. He comes to Marcy with previous experience working in higher education, nonprofits, healthcare, and cultural organizations in Cuba and the US. Hands down, Jorge has the best style of anyone at Marcy, and in his free time, he enjoys discovering new tv shows, international movies under two hours, and eclectic music like Ayme Arocena’s Cubafonia album.
