Carmen Salas

Carmen Salas is a Senior Associate Instructor at The Marcy Lab School. She is a proud Mexican-American, born and raised right here in Brooklyn. Carmen was the first student ever admitted to The Marcy Lab School in 2019 and is a graduate of our founding class. As a majestic front-end developer, JavaScript and React are her tools of choice, but as an Associate Instructor, she can make even the most challenging data structures and algorithms problems digestible for her students. In her free time, Carmen is a bit of an old soul who enjoys thrifting and film photography. You can most often catch her listening to anything by Omar Apollo or Harry Styles.
