Ben Spector

Ben grew up in the suburbs outside Boston, with his family’s roots is Russia, Poland, and China. After spending a few years in New Orleans writing the web development curriculum for Codecademy and teaching high schoolers programming, he now calls Brooklyn home. At The Marcy Lab School, Ben expertly leads our Fellows in technical instruction, helping them build the skills and habits to become excellent engineers and teammates. In addition to his work in the classroom, his leadership on the Fellowship team ensures we’re creating technical systems and processes that last. Outside of work, you can find Ben rock climbing, playing soccer or tennis, playing music, playing board/video games, reading a book, or cheering on the Boston Celtics. Ben is currently listening to SZA’s new album on repeat.
